Zannah Mustapha Buried In Borno

Alhaji Zannah Mustapha, the late Borno state deputy governor, was on Saturday, August 15, buried according to Islamic rites.

The sad news broke earlier today, with Borno authorities having announced that the politician had died in his sleep in Yola, Adamawa state.

President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress directed condolences to the family of the deceased and expressed shock and sadness over his sudden demise.

According to The Punch, the Peoples Democratic Party also mourned Mustapha’s death. The party’s national publicity secretary, Lai Mohammed, said in a statement:

“The PDP commiserates with Borno state governor, Alhaji Kashim Shettima, the Mustapha family, the people of Borno state and the All Progressives Congress family for the loss, while praying God to grant the departed eternal rest.”
